Virginia Bio

Virginia was born in La Junta, Colorado as the only daughter of a farmer and his wife. She loved nurturing the farm animals and was inspired to become a nurse. She earned a certificate in licensed practical nursing (LPN) one year after graduating from high school. Virginia then took a break to raise four children until they were school-age. In 1981, she and her family moved from Colorado to Casper, WY. She then returned to school and finished an Associate's Degree in Nursing at Casper College, becoming a registered nurse in 1990. Virginia worked at Wyoming Medical Center (WMC) for a year, then moved to a dialysis center and then to home health before returning to WMC in 1996. At that time she returned to school and obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing through the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque in 2000. During this course of study, she also worked at WMC in the cardiac care area and later in the cardiac cath lab.

In 2007, Virginia graduated from the University of Wyoming with a master's degree in nursing and a certification in family practice. Upon completing this training, she worked in an urgent care facility and also began to work in the field of dermatology. She found dermatology to be of particular interest and has worked in that field up to the present time. For the past three-and-a-half years, Virginia Tubbs, FNP-C, has worked in the field of dermatology in central Wyoming. She joined Dr. Forsha at Pilot Butte Dermatology in the summer of 2011.

On a personal note, she is the proud grandmother of three boys and one girl. She enjoys knitting sweaters and socks for the grandkids. She loves to sit through violin recitals when grandchildren perform and enjoys accompanying her violinist-grandson on the piano. Recently she purchased a small acreage and is looking forward to tending to her horses and teaching the grandchildren to ride.
